The mission of
Breadcrumbs Productions is to reinforce the sustainability of artists in Central and Western NY to create bold, imaginative storytelling; in particular that which empowers and promotes the LGBTQ+ community.
Who Are We?
Breadcrumbs Productions, Inc. is a professional theatre and creative production company based in Syracuse, New York. We produce full theatrical productions, event entertainment, and artist opportunities. Our vision is an artist-centered enterprise, pushing the boundaries of imaginative theatre and adding to a healthy local artistic ecosystem.

Artists and queer people migrate to Central and Western NY regions due to the vibrant arts ecosystem and thriving LGBTQ+ communities, imagining Syracuse and Rochester as major hubs for cutting edge, LGBTQ+ centered storytelling.

Whether a full scale production, training classes and workshops, corporate entertainment, or a special event, you can always rely on a professional caliber product. At Breadcrumbs, we take risks. We believe that art should be bold, memorable and push boundaries into unknown territory. Art has the power to change the world... so let it!
THE ARTIST

We are committed to the long term sustainability of local artists. This practice comes in many forms starting with providing a fair wage for local artists and encouraging this practice throughout our community. We also provide artist development through training, resource sharing, networking, and project development. At Breadcrumbs, we want artists to be artists.

THE COMMUNITY
​
The links between economic health and social engagement are clear and we are committed to positive community development through the arts. We want to be leaders in a movement that encourages artists to migrate to our community because of the depth of opportunity. By promoting interaction in public spaces, developing non-traditional arts spaces, and creating project-based jobs for freelance artists, we proudly promote a return on investment in the arts and in our communities.
Our programming is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
